The Youth Skills and Employment Network

The Global Business Coalition for Education is creating the largest network of youth-serving organizations in the U.S. working together to tackle the youth skills and employment crisis.

Following participation in the accelerator program, organizations and their leaders remain part of the network. Alumnus participants have access to ongoing networking and peer-to-peer support opportunities.

The highlight was having the amazing opportunity to connect with other professionals performing impactful work throughout different communities in the U.S. - and learning about solutions and best practices they're implementing to make their programs a success.

The Southern California College Attainment Network (SoCal CAN) won the 2023 Big Ideas, Bright Cities Challenge. SoCal CAN received a $100,000 grant to scale up its work in partnership with the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) to provide comprehensive college and career advice to public housing residents.

As part of the Big Ideas, Bright Cities Challenge 2022, Action Greensboro (NC), received a $100,000 ‘Grand Prize’ grant. Runners-Up Sidekick Education in Madison (WI) and Orlando Community Youth & Trust in Orlando (FL) each received a $10,000 grant.
