The YJC mission, success in the workplace and in life, focuses on preparing young people to become confident, self-sufficient members of the workforce. In 1983, Youth Job Center was founded in Evanston to efficiently place young people in jobs. Since then, the organization has evolved to center on client development through personal growth and continued learning. The organization instills clients with the skills they need to contribute to the economy and tackle challenges they may encounter.
