Press Release

The Global Business Coalition for Education (GBC-Education) is proud to welcome Stellantis as the newest corporate partner of the Youth Skills and Employment Accelerator, an initiative dedicated to expanding access to critical skills and career opportunities for young Americans.

With one in ten young people in the U.S. not in school or work¹, the Accelerator is part of a nationwide initiative to ensure that by 2030, all young Americans will have the skills needed to find employment in a rapidly changing job market.

As a global leader in mobility, innovation, and sustainability, Stellantis recognizes the importance of investing in future talent. Through this collaboration, Stellantis will work alongside GBC-Education to support youth-serving nonprofits focused on skills development, career readiness, and workforce pathways – particularly for young people from underserved communities.

“Education is one of the most powerful drivers of progress and ensuring young people have access to the right tools, skills and training is essential for building a strong future. By working together with GBC-Education, we can create lasting impact for the next generation.”

A Growing Network

Since its launch in 2021, the Youth Skills and Employment Accelerator has built a growing network of 43 nonprofit organizations across the U.S. – all working together to close the skills gap and connect young people to meaningful careers. To date, this program has already positively impacted more than 200,000 young people.

With Stellantis joining the effort, the Accelerator will further its mission of bridging the gap between education and employment and ensuring more young people gain the skills needed to succeed in industries such as technology, green energy, STEM, finance, and more. With Stellantis’ support, GBC-Education can also look at expanding the program beyond the U.S., bringing opportunities to even more young people around the world.

Working in areas ranging from digital literacy to vocational training, these organizations will receive funding, training and networking opportunities to scale their impact and help even more young people from underserved communities find meaningful employment.

“Stellantis is not only investing in future talent but also reinforcing the vital link between education and private sector investment. Through collaboration, we can create lasting change, opening doors for young people across the country and driving economic growth.”

Justin van Fleet, CEO of the Global Business Coalition for Education

In 2025, 15 additional organizations joined the nation’s largest network of youth-serving nonprofits, working to improve young people’s employment prospects. With the Accelerator still growing, more organizations have the opportunity to join this collective effort to close the youth skills gap.
