About

Since 1983, the Jeffco Schools Foundation (formally the Jefferson Foundation) has partnered with Jeffco Public Schools to provide support across the vast district of Jefferson County. This includes over 150 public schools, 80,000 students, and nearly 14,000 district and staff members, where one in three students are low-income. As an independent nonprofit partner, Jeffco Schools Foundation has a proud and long history of raising resources to provide academic, programmatic, and enrichment support to Jeffco students, educators, schools, and families.

Jeffco Schools Foundation is a fundraising partner of the Jeffco Public Schools district. They cultivate partnerships to ensure Jeffco students thrive through equitable, excellent, and engaging educational experiences.

In Jeffco, not all students, staff, and families are starting from the same place nor do they need the same things to reach their fullest potential. They align their approach to equity with the district to ensure that their investments result in the greatest impact to those most in need. They strive to support educational experiences that are accessible and help students from all backgrounds feel a sense of welcoming and belonging.
