As the year comes to a close, the Global Business Coalition for Education team shares a special Year in Review report. 2019 has been inspiring with progress on several fronts. Every day we see businesses banding together – and working across sectors – to end the global education and skills crisis.
The annual recap highlights strides in four particular areas:
- Addressing the skills gap: We’re measuring the youth skills gap across the world and convening the right players to close it.
- Making education inclusive: We’re focused on the challenges faced by children with disabilities to ensure that education is inclusive.
- Advancing innovation financing: New financing mechanisms could dramatically increase funds to get millions of kids out of school. We’re helping businesses step up and invest.
- Responding to emergencies: Children trapped in crises often get robbed of an education. We’re changing that.
We’re doing even more in 2020 to achieve equitable and inclusive quality education for all. GBC-Education will expand our coalition of businesses and build new partnerships. We’re also investing in new tools and resources to help companies make stronger and more strategic investments in education. Learn more, and find out how you can get involved in the year ahead.
