About Julius Karl
Julius Karl D. Fieve is an Economist and International Development Expert with over 7 years’ experience in non-profit, private and public sectors
He specifically focused on project development and management, economic policy research and engagement, monitoring and evaluation, planning and budgeting, stakeholders’ relations and resource mobilization in the energy, agriculture, health and education sectors. He is currently a MasterCard Foundation Scholar studying MSc. Africa and International Development at the University of Edinburgh, UK and completes in August 2020. He holds MSc. degree in Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana and BSc. Actuarial Science degree from the same University. He also holds an Executive Certificate in Project Management from the African Centre for Capacity Building (AFCAB), Ghana. Julius is also the Co-founder of the Global Advocacy Development Initiative (GADI), Ghana (www.gadighana.org). He has coordinated donor projects and donor funds from institutional donors such as the European Union, French Embassy, Ghana, the African Development Bank, the Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands as well as global organizations providing funds as their corporate social responsibilities. He is currently undertaking a 3-month research fellowship with the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI), Accra, Ghana. With this Organization, Julius conducts research by integrating academic theory and civil society practices, share research findings through a knowledge cafe with relevant stakeholders, contribute to facilitate compilation, review and finalization of reports and publications among others. He also serves as the Seminar Coordinator Intern of United Nations (UN) House Scotland where he develops policy papers on women economic development and entrepreneurship issues in Eritrea. Prior to that Julius served as a Researcher at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), Africa on an Energy Project funded by the IESE Business School, Spain and Fuel Freedom Foundation, US. He is a Global Youth Ambassador (GYA) of Theirworld and part of 8 GYAs selected worldwide as Advisory Group Members by Theirworld, UK who partnered Restless Development, US to develop campaigner’s toolkit to train and build capacity of young changemakers, campaigners and advocates to help end the global education crisis. He is also a One Young World Ambassador and Delegate Speaker and a Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum.
