The Skills Center’s (TSC) mission is to utilize the power of sports to level the playing field in education, health and workforce training. Focusing on developing core competencies through sports-based youth development, academic instruction and character education, TSC’s aspiration is to change the life trajectory for young people in disadvantaged communities so that each one has the skills to earn a living wage and escape poverty with a purpose in life.

By bringing together four other minority-led nonprofit organizations to create The Skills Center Collaborative, TSC is providing underserved youth with school-based and community-based programs, motivating young people to learn, change behavior and succeed in school.
