This year on International Women’s Day, men and women all over the world supported equal opportunities for girls and women by sharing why they #PledgeForParity — a phenomenon that the World Economic Forum estimates won’t occur until 2133 if a renewed sense of urgency is not inspired.

GBC-Education celebrated the potential of girls and women by advocating for gender parity within education and the workforce. Coalition members and other businesses echoed the cause by sharing why and how their business is #RewritingTheCode of embedded values for girls’ education. They also celebrated the launch of Theirworld Code Clubs in Kenya being piloted in partnership with GBC-Education member Kano and #smartinvestment Network members Codecademy and Africa Gathering.

GBC-Education was thrilled to see business leaders and other partners take to social media to express their reasons for championing girls’ education and to share their efforts to push progress forward. Catch up with their thoughts below!
