Los Angeles Conservation Corps

The LA Conservation Corps is an environmentally focused workforce development non-profit organization. They recruit out-of-work and out-of-school young people from low-income families in disadvantaged communities. Helping members to overcome personal challenges and surmount systemic barriers, so they can achieve self-reliance, they transform the lives of young adults through work and education bolstered by supportive services. Paid work experience increases their employability while benefiting the environment and the community. Education opens doors for future opportunities. Supportive services remove barriers to participation and encourage success, and transition assistance connects Corpsmembers with careers and college.
