Safe Schools Initiative: Protecting the Right to Learn in Nigeria

Since Safe Schools Nigeria was originally published in the spring of 2014, more than $30 million has been mobilized to protect schools in Northeast Nigeria. To date, nearly 50,000 Nigerian children displaced from their homes by Boko Haram have benefited from student transfer programs, school reconstruction programs, or education strategies within IDP camps organized by the Safe Schools Initiative.
