Over the past four decades, Pakistan has experienced more attacks on education than any country in the world. As the Pakistani government works to ensure schools are safe for all children, this paper outlines 15 best practices building on global expertise and experience. The best practices are intended to complement and support current government activities; to highlight proven measures to make schools safe; and to serve as a basis for a framework to build school and community based interventions to promote safe schools in Pakistan with support from the international community.
