The Global Business Coalition for Education is seeking a Project Coordinator, Strategic Partnerships to expand and deepen our engagement with key stakeholders by fostering partnership opportunities between the business community and the major funds in global education.

About half of the individual’s time will be dedicated to GBC-Education’s Global Funds Group, a team dedicated to fostering robust collaborative relationships with the major global funds in education – including the Global Partnership for Education, Education Cannot Wait Fund, and the International Financing Facility for Education – to drive greater business investment and impact in global education. The individual will be responsible for supporting the execution of outreach, administrative, and other tasks to deliver Global Fund Group’s (including REACT) objectives.

The other half of the Project Coordinator’s time will be focused on providing outreach and administrative support for our new multi-year “Business Investment for Education Impact Initiative.” The initiative aims to build a stronger, more informed and impactful network of businesses with the potential to transform education outcomes through more strategic and coordinated investment.  Using a quasi-design approach, the initiative will conduct a consolidated mapping of the global education landscape and evidence, including major actors, regulatory framework, guiding principles, strategic efforts and initiatives; provide a series of design options for solutions for business and non-corporate stakeholders; test and prototype the solutions and develop a refined product for companies and non-corporate stakeholders; and develop a business model to implement, deliver and scale the use of the solutions to improve corporate investment in global education.

Tasks will include:

  • Liaising with partner organizations
  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings
  • Preparing briefings, reports, communication memos, and other materials
  • Organizing, attending, and participating in online and offline stakeholder meetings and consultation sessions
  • Creating backgrounders and briefs by searching and synthesizing existing research and relevant sources
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
  • Undertaking project tasks as required
  • Overseeing upkeep of the REACT digital platform
  • Delivering key enrollment, partnership, and outreach results for the REACT initiative
  • Providing other administrative support as needed
