Position Summary

The Global Business Coalition for Education is seeking a Head of Outreach and Development to expand and deepen our engagement with corporate partners. This individual would focus on conducting outreach to current members to engage them in our programs, including our new Business Investment in Education Impact initiative – while at the same time designing and implementing an effective development strategy to attract new corporate and foundation partners to our work.

About half of the Head of Outreach and Development’s time will be dedicated to cultivating new corporate participants for our new multi-year “Business Investment for Education Impact Initiative.” The initiative aims to build a stronger, more informed and impactful network of businesses with the potential to transform education outcomes through more strategic and coordinated investment. Companies participating will engage in the design, development, testing and execution of the project. The Head of Outreach and Developing will be responsible for maximizing the diversity, breadth, depth and scope of corporate partners and collaborators. This will also include identifying opportunities to engage in our work on inclusion and disability, youth skills, finance for education, and early childhood development.

The other half of the Head of Outreach and Development’s time will be focused on securing new corporate and foundation partners to support our work financially and engage in our various programs and activities.

The Head of Outreach and Development bears principal responsibility for the membership, funded partnerships, and membership activities and events. S/he will identify and support new project opportunities as they are being developed by staff, funders, members and partners. The Head of Outreach and Development will also support all reporting to donors and corporate partners alongside our Head of Operations.
