The Global Business Coalition for Education is an initiative of Theirworld, a global children’s charity that believes we can collectively end the global education crisis.
Theirworld anticipates, targets, and solves the complex barriers keeping children and youth from education and opportunity. The organization mobilizes the power of campaigning, policy, and innovation to provide every child, even the most marginalized, with the best start in life, a safe place to learn and skills for their future.
Informed by breakthrough research and activated by its influential network of ‘Next Generation Actionists’, Theirworld works with governments, businesses, NGOS, and youth campaigners to develop and deploy solutions to unleash the potential of the next generation.
In 2012, Theirworld established the Global Business Coalition for Education as a global movement of businesses to committed to this vision. Tackling the global education crisis takes the collective power of business and other stakeholders – and know-how to bring these voices together for positive change. The Global Business Coalition for Education serves as the business community’s social impact advisor, combining the expertise of education and business to develop customized programs and identify investments, partnerships, and opportunities that will have the greatest impact.
We are seeking an Executive Assistant to the Executive Director of the Global Business Coalition for Education and President of Theirworld as a full-time position based in New York City.
The main duties will include managing the Executive Director’s time, diary and priorities and liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders using judgement and authority.
The Executive Director’s office works across the organization and is frequently the first point of contact for numerous individuals and organizations, both national and international. It’s a dynamic and exciting place to work and requires extreme attention to detail and strategic thinking.
The role is an opportunity for a talented EA to support an organizational leader with a comprehensive package of proactive high-level support – from managing the prioritization and delegation of time and tasks through to leading on the compiling of briefing materials and presentations for internal and external meetings.
