The Global Business Coalition for Education, an initiative of Theirworld, is a global movement of businesses which aims to unleash the potential of the next generation. We believe that every child deserves the best start in life, a safe school to learn in, and skills for the future.
Tackling the global education crisis takes the collective power of business and other stakeholders – and know-how to bring these voices together for positive change. The Global Business Coalition for Education serves as the business community’s social impact advisor, combining the expertise of education and business to develop customized programs and identify investments, partnerships, and opportunities that will have the greatest impact.
GBC-Education members are ‘Next Generation Actionists’ who understand the power and potential of leveraging their knowledge, resources, and scale in coordination with peers, government, international organizations, and NGOs. We believe transformative change requires more than individual efforts to address a problem – no matter how large or significant the effort.
The Communications Lead is a full-time position based in New York City. The ideal candidate for this role must have strong attention to detail, multitasking, and organizational skills. The role will suit someone that is well-organized, efficient, able to draw connections between various aspects of our work and wants to make an impact supporting global education.
The majority of the Communications Lead’s week will be dedicated to managing GBC-Education’s communications and social media production. Tasks will include:

The Communications Lead must be an analytical, organized, resourceful, and highly responsible individual with a high degree of professionalism, and a flexible and collaborative spirit.
