Intel’s Rosalind Hudnell to Join GBC-Education’s Advisory Board

GBC-Education is delighted to announce the addition of Rosalind Hudnell, Intel’s new Vice President of Corporate Affairs and President of the Intel Foundation, to the GBC-Education Advisory Board. Hudnell brings with her nearly 20 years of leadership experience within Intel and has been featured in media such as in Forbes, and on CNN and MSNBC.

Already well known for directing the design and successful implementation of Intel’s Computer Clubhouse Network, a mentorship and social community program for underserved youth, and the 10k Engineer’s Initiative for President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, Hudnell’s strong leadership on Diversity and Education contributed to the Fortune 500 ranking for Intel.

As Chief Diversity Officer for more than a decade, Hudnell was also the driving force behind Intel’s goal and CEOs commitment to take Intel’s workforce to full representation in the U.S. by 2020 with a $300 million pledge invested to recruit and retain more minorities and women. Through her oversight Intel has exceeded its goal within the first year of this five-year commitment.

In her new capacity as President of the Intel Foundation and Vice President Corporate Affairs Hudnell is responsible for Intel’s Corporate Responsibility Initiatives, including Gender and Diversity, Education and Skill Development, Social Innovation, Disaster Relief.

“I’m thrilled to take on this leadership role on the Advisory Board and to contribute my expertise — as well as Intel’s work in education — to help the Coalition expand its impact and continue to grow,” says Hudnell.

Through Hudnell’s leadership, among other initiatives in innovation in education Intel is committed to gender equity with an emphasis on reducing the digital literacy gender gap through “She Will Connect,” an initiative launched at last year’s UN General Assembly to endorse Education International’s policy.
