15 more U.S.-based nonprofits to join the 2025 Youth Skills and Employment Accelerator

News
Joining a network of 28 previous participants from across the United States, the organizations will work with young people from underserved communities - receiving funding, training, and networking opportunities to help them reach even more young people.
Fifteen exceptional nonprofits serving young people from underserved communities across the United States have been selected to join the 2025 Youth Skills and Employment Accelerator.
The Accelerator – run by the Global Business Coalition for Education, supported by Dell Technologies and Deloitte – is a network in the U.S. of youth-serving nonprofits focused on skills development and employment.
The organizations chosen this year work in areas ranging from cyber skills and financial literacy to entrepreneurship and culinary expertise. As part of the year-long program, participants will receive funding, training, and networking opportunities to scale up their impact and help even more young people find meaningful employment.
The Accelerator program is part of a nationwide drive to ensure that by 2030 all young Americans will have the skills needed to find work in a rapidly-changing job market. The current skills gap is driving a recruitment crisis, with employers across all sectors struggling to find young talent with the expertise needed for roles in areas such as digital technology, green tech, STEM, finance, and banking.
Justin van Fleet, CEO of the Global Business Coalition for Education, said: “With one in 10 young people in the U.S. not in school or work, there’s an urgent need to invest in their future. The Accelerator will equip nonprofits working with young people from underserved communities with the tools and support they need to make a real difference in the lives of young people.”
GBC-Education, with support from Deloitte and Dell Technologies, launched the Accelerator in 2021 to allow youth-serving nonprofits focused on skills development and employment to collaborate. It has already invested in 28 organizations across 22 states, positively impacting more than 200,000 young people.
After taking part in the program, organizations and their leaders remain part of the network, with access to ongoing networking and peer-to-peer support opportunities.
The 15 nonprofits chosen from the applicants for this year’s Accelerator are:
- AZ Cyber Initiative, from Tucson, Arizona
- BridgeYear, from Houston, Texas

As well as being part of the growing network, this year’s cohort of nonprofits will also benefit from corporate pro-bono support, including technology donations, volunteer consulting, and specialized training. They will also have opportunities to pitch for funding and participate in conferences to build their visibility and networks.

We are thrilled to welcome this incredible group of nonprofits to the 2025 Accelerator. By empowering organizations at the community level, we are building an ecosystem that ensures all young people have access to the critical skills needed to thrive in a rapidly-evolving workforce
