Junior Achievement of Southwest New England Inc.

Junior Achievement Southwest New England uses business and community volunteers to prepare young people with skills for their future. The group is expanding its workforce development programs for Greater Hartford area students, working with schools, businesses, governments, and community organizations to prepare students for careers and life after graduation. Their initiatives include a “Stock Market Challenge”, visits to local businesses with students, a competition based on “Shark Tank” and a career connections series for young women.

Their vision is to ensure that every student in Connecticut is inspired and empowered to take responsibility for their personal finances, explore their career hopes and dreams, and experience the power of entrepreneurship, thus becoming key contributors to the State’s, Nation’s, and Global economic growth and vitality.

Junior Achievement maintains an active vision, kept front and center, on how we can have a positive impact on the lives of more students – guided by  their core values:
