By 2030 an estimated 1.8 billion youth worldwide will not have the skills or qualifications required to participate in the workforce. An inadequately trained workforce will lead to greater income inequality, increased unemployment, increased government expenditures, and more mass migrations.
At the same time, businesses need a skilled and talented workforce to conduct business and ensure reliable supply chains. The private sector can make a significant difference in education for employability by leveraging their unique resources, talents, and capabilities to improve curricula, provide job training opportunities, tap into their employees’ skills and technical expertise to build capacity and more.
Join us for a lively conversation co-hosted by Team4Tech and the Global Business Coalition for Education, where industry leaders will share their strategies and experiences in driving skill-building initiatives through their people, products, and philanthropic funding. This event will offer a global perspective on the education vs. employability mismatch and a unique opportunity for shared learning.
